Esbjerg Festival August 7th - 15th, 2009

Hello ! The day/youth clubs in Esbjerg, Denmark would like to invite you to participate in a Steelband Event in connection with Esbjerg Festival the 7th - 15 th August 2009. The invitation is for children/youngsters between 10 - 20 years old who play in steelbands.

The idea is, with music in the center, to meet across bounderies, cultures and lanquages to form friendships and get to know each other.

We will be playing at concerts around the city to celebrate the festival, but the main aim is to inspire and be together in the world of music, see the town, do workshops etc.

The day/youth clubs will arrange for meals, accomodation for all the bands (clubs or hostels) transport around the town and programs/ posters etc.

We will apply for EU funds when we know whether you ar interested in participating in the event. You can apply for EU funds for travel costs but we will of course be willing to help with the application.

Due to the further planning we would like to hear from you no later than 1st January 2009 - whether you are interested or not.
