Recently a low tenor steel pan was given to the MIM by the government of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. To celebrate this donation of their national instrument to the Belgian state, the National Steel Symphony Orchestra - that is 19 steel pans of all shapes and sizes coming right out of Port of Spain! - will demonstrate in our concert hall what these tuned oil barrels are really capable of. Expect some Caribbean tunes, of course, but also Toto and even Mozart!
